Exploring Fashion Trends for 2025

Frankie Atkins

I recently went searching for what the coming year might bring in fashion, and I ended up down a bit of a YouTube rabbit hole. There are so many voices talking about what’s next, but a few videos really stood out to me and gave me ideas worth sharing.

TOP 10 AUTUMN/WINTER FASHION TRENDS 2025

One of the first I watched focused on the idea of “elevated casual” – something I hadn’t thought about in that way before. The video showed how everyday pieces, when combined with one structured element, can completely shift the feel of an outfit. A loose jumper with tailored trousers, or trainers worn with a clean, sharp coat. It made me realise that this blend of easy and refined is probably going to be everywhere in 2025.

What I also liked was the focus on colour. Instead of dividing shades strictly by season, it suggested that tones like navy, olive and burgundy are set to stay relevant all year. I found that reassuring, because it means I don’t have to rethink everything each season. Having a set of “anchor” colours feels like it will make dressing simpler, with space to add smaller seasonal touches if I want to.

10 UNEXPECTED FALL/WINTER 2025 FASHION TRENDS

Across all the videos I watched, the recurring theme was flexibility. Clothes that can be worn in more than one way, shades that stay steady across the calendar, details that make pieces last longer than a single season. It’s not about buying into every new micro-trend, but about noticing which elements will actually work across different settings and times of year.

For me, watching these videos was a reminder that trends don’t have to feel overwhelming. Instead, they can serve as inspiration to rethink what I already have and how I combine it. 2025 seems to be shaping up as a year where structure meets ease, and where adaptability is just as important as style.
